sharing their understandable and common feelings about it all,

Greetings in the love of the Lord!
Dear C,
Yeah, very difficult to emotionally bear indeed!
Christ is the only answer and hope, for sure. How truly are the hurting in need
of such love and joy in Christ.
I think of the wife on the hijacked plane toward the Pentagon cellphone calling
her husband and saying she loves him...
and of the husband on the hijacked plane that would crash in Pennsylvania
cellphone calling his wife and saying he loves her....
of these and of all the families of missing family members frantically
looking.....
...none of these people having any governmental or political cause of suffering
such terror and killing....
and I thereby look at my own beloved with thankfulness to God, and aching for
the loss it would be if these tragedies were my own. It is for these things
that it is a family "policy" here at my own family that we always, without
thinking about it now, say "I love you and God bless you" whenever we part from
each other, even if only for the groceries or whatever.
That's why my heart so truly would that we bring the love and compassion and,
yes, joy of Jesus Christ to the hurting, that the reality of the gospel of
salvation be manifest and even received.
As I truly agree that this war, which is now brought to us, is now to be executed, I
simply want to also make sure that my own heart be only based on walking in love
and not malice, on accountability and not on revenge.
Accordingly,
I will preach the gospel of Christ, with my heart heavy to bring
ministry to the truly hurting. I will preach the joy that is only available
through Him, preaching that true joy through the depths of the tears I continue
to shed through all this for all the hurting.
I will preach Christ, His joy, preached through my mere mortal tears.
As the Lord Christ Jesus comforted all who are truly His,
as it is written,
"Verily, verily, I say unto you,
That ye shall weep and lament,
but the world shall rejoice:
and ye shall be sorrowful,
but your sorrow shall be turned into joy."
(John 16:20.)
The only joy to be found when under such hurting can be found in Christ.
So again....
I will preach Christ, His joy, preached through my mere mortal tears as so many
shed so many tears indeed.
Anyway, C, yeah, I understand.
May the joy and love of the Lord ever be with us.
