"But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
"For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
"For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren". (Hebrews 2:9-11.) Alleluia! And "God is not ashamed to be called their God". (Hebrews 11:16d.) Hallelujah!
Fear not to suffer tribulations (for Christ Himself was made "perfect through sufferings"), but suffer as a Christian. And "Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner ((in this my financial imprisonment))". (2_Timothy 1:8a-b.)
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2_Timothy 1:7.)
"If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
"Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers." (2_Timothy 2:12-14.)
Therefore, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God ((and not unto man)), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of Truth." (2_Timothy 2:15.)
"As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offense: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." (Romans 9:33.)
And herewith shall all willful shame be revealed. In deed and in truth shall many stumble herewith for they are ashamed of the Word of Truth. I herewith include that which had been written through this my tabernacle for publication in even a publication of the world. It is the story of the family of Abraham, who "God said... is a prophet". (Genesis 20:6[a],7[b].)
It was written to correct a situation of error made by the world which could not be allowed to stand. But because so many who profess Christ are ashamed of the Word of God, they could not and would not correct the situation, thus letting the error to remain standing.
While the Truth of such a matter will herewith be received with gladness by those who have erred in the innocency of their heart, this will likewise herewith reveal those who do stumble and take offense, who are willfully ashamed of the Word of Truth.
